The first five follow the storyline of the World of Goo.

There are no different difficulty levels or multiple endings so once you are done playing the only incentive to replay a level is to save more goo balls for your tower of goo.There are four chapters plus an epilogue and free build level for your tower.
WORLD OF GOO 2 FULL
The length of the game is average: one full afternoon is about the time needed to play the entire game from start to finish. The more goo balls, the more building blocks you will have. What bonus? Well, guess what: all the collected goo balls will be available to you in a custom, free play level where the aim is to build the highest tower of goo. Of course, getting more balls will add up to your bonus. Levels have a target number of goo balls required for the suction pipe. Of course, things get really complicated when different kinds of balls come into play, and all the physical forces start making their presence felt: gravity, weight, elasticity, inertia, wind and fire are just some elements that you will need to tackle while playing. You have limited goo balls so plan your structures ahead. In a nutshell the ultimate goal of each level is to build a structure that will lead the goo balls into a suction pipe.
The sign painter will keep you company throughout the entire game. Each level has a few signs posted here and there with a nice touch of humor that will provide subtle hints for your course of action. The learning curve is not so steep and it can take a while until you are familiar with the game’s inner workings. There are no obvious buttons and no tutorials for dummies.
WORLD OF GOO 2 SERIES
The quality is no doubt comparable to the Angry Birds series or even better.Īt first, the menu and gameplay may seem a little weird. It has a a great balance of gameplay, feeling, storyline, graphics, you name it. World of Goo is one of the greatest apps we have ever laid our fingers on. Let’s just start by getting one thing straight. As you will quickly see, World of Goo has stunning graphics, music, sound effects, storyline and humor packed into a single app. Other than building structures there are no more similarities with any bridge building game. Your job as the player will be to build two dimensional structures using different kinds of goo balls in order to reach a certain point on the map. This game has a lot in common with the classic bridge builder but a little more… gooey. If you are looking for a premium quality app, World of Goo would be a fine candidate. With fabulous new cosmetic surgery options,Īnd raw BEAUTY PRODUCT injected DIRECTLY INTO HER FOREHEAD, the giant lady thing was a living electric generator.Īnd that BEAUTY was a highly reactive liquid chemical.įor years, her Beauty juice powered the entire world!Īnd when her Beauty dried up, so did her electrical output. This energy, among other things, opens up a factory in the south. Thanks to the player's actions, however, her beauty has been restored through cosmetic surgery and raw BEAUTY PRODUCT, and though she cannot move her face, this causes the world to fill with energy again. Unfortunately, as she grew older, her Beauty and energy started to die.
In the cutscene the " giant lady thing", (the only thing she is ever referred to as) is shown waking up, with text scrolling slowly at the side of the screen explaining that for many years, her tremendous "Beauty juice" powered the world. Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.Īfter clearing the last level of Chapter 2, a cutscene plays. Eventually, this leads up to the level " Genetic Sorting Machine", which, upon completion, unlocks Chapter 3. The story-line of this chapter is revealed in second level, where World of Goo Corporation turns out to be searching for a new power source after the windmills failed to provide enough energy to power the world, an unknown "POWER SOURCE" is repeatedly mentioned throughout the chapter by the Sign Painter as you work through the chapter, it once powered the world, but for one reason or another, it doesn't work anymore. Because Chapter 1 takes place in summer, Chapter 2 takes place in fall, the chronologically following season. The title of the chapter is " Little Miss World of Goo." This chapter introduces a few new species of Goo, such as Water Goo and Beauty Goo.
And a different source of energy had to be found.Ĭhapter 2 is the second chapter of World of Goo.
The windmills were supposed to be a source of cheap clean energy to power the entire world.
